Sunami Toru Shoten – Binkago Bag – Size M
The Binkago bag originated in Japan, where it was traditionally used to safely transport sake or soy sauce. Today, it appears in a timeless, modern form and has become an elegant companion for the kitchen or everyday life. It is perfect for stylishly gifting a bottle of wine or for storing fresh vegetables in an airy and attractive way.
The woven grass has a warm green tone that lightens over time and develops a soft, honey-colored patina. Thus, each piece tells its own unique story.
Sunami Toru Shoten was founded in 1886 in Kurashiki (Okayama) – a region known for its traditional mat making. To this day, the art of weaving is passed down through the family. Ryuki Sunami, the fifth generation, crafts each bag individually by hand, preserving a nearly lost craft.
