Tree Lilies II - Remembrance (2025) - Acrylic on canvas
About the series Remembrance by Christina Anna Sperber:
We live in a time when the outside world is louder than ever before.
Every day, countless impressions flood in on us – words, images, expectations. A constant pressure to react, to function, to be present. Without us realizing it, all of this accumulates within us, layer upon layer. Forms that are not our own begin to overlay us. Remembrance is the shedding of these layers. An unlayering of everything we have absorbed since childhood – opinions, projections, role models that have distanced us from our true core. The abstract Tree Lilies in this collection are an expression of this process. Not a depiction of external nature, but forms of our inner blossoming. They represent the recognition of what remains when we shed all that is foreign: our essence. Remembrance is not a return, not a nostalgic remembering. It is a rediscovery in the now. A homecoming to what has always been within us.
Four exclusive original works (30 × 30 cm) have been created in this series. They are silent companions for those who are ready to let go layer by layer and recognize their own essence within themselves, that unchanging core that has always sustained us.

About the artist:
"My work is not just about beauty, but about what it evokes in us – a new feeling, a breath of fresh air, a rediscovery of what has always been within us."
Christina Anna Sperber is a mixed-media artist. Her practice is inspired by the human healing process and nature as a mirror of inner states. In her work, she combines acrylic and oil with limewash techniques on raw canvas to create depth, movement, and organic surface textures. Each layer carries the energy of transformation—raw, vibrant, and intuitive. Through flowing techniques and harmonious, nature-inspired hues, she creates works that invite contemplation and reflection. Her pieces are nostalgic, nature-connected, and simultaneously dynamic abstractions. A quiet, human presence perceptible in her work—something intimate that resonates between the layers. Each painting arises from personal experience, keen perception, and the courage to follow intuition.
