Minimalist yet sophisticated, this teapot was designed by Marco Sironi 'Piuma' for the Italian glass manufacturer Ichendorf Milano. Sironi is an architect with experience in the construction industry, yacht design, glass and interior design. For him, every object, apart from its suitability for use and formal values, has to match its materials and manufacturing processes.

The history of Ichendorf began in the early years of the 20th century in a small town near Cologne called Quadrath-Ichendorf. There, many master glaziers used a mixture of substances, including silica, to give objects a shape that corresponded to the fine taste of the time. Until 1950, precious ornaments played the leading role in various tasteful collections.
A very important change in taste was introduced this year: the preference for a clean form and purity of material, in order to achieve a kind of transparency that has no defects.
